Shearling ewes averaged £1690.00 selling to a top of £2730.00

Edstaston Vanity 20TG00969 sold for £2730.00 to Drew & Stephen Cowan, Banbridge, N. Ireland for their Tullyear flock.
Ewe lambs averaged £616.00 selling to a top of £735.00 twice.

21TG01064 sold for £735.00 to William Doherty for his Dover flock in Southern Ireland.

Purchased privately from Dewi Evans on Anglesey in a joint venture between Edstaston Charollais and Knockin Charollais.
Wingman is sired by Dalby Veainu who is a son of Edstaston Tulloch. He has great presence and length with a tremendous skin and back end. We are really looking forward to his progeny in December 2021.

Edstaston Charollais had a very good Premier sale selling 8 ram lambs to average 1800 gns. Top call was for Lot No. 85 - 19TG00872 Edstaston U R The Man ARR/ARR who sold for 4800 gns. to Robert Whittaker for his Hundalee flock in Scotland.

This Shockin son out of an Alazabal cross Madison daughter had exceptional figures with a terminal sire index of 341 which puts him in the top 1% for the breed.
A full brother to U R The Man has been retained for use within the Edstaston Charollais flock. This ram is called Edstaston Umpire Dickie Bird 19TG00873 ARR/ARR. His terminal sire index is 305 which comfortably puts him in the top 5% for the breed.
Next came Lot No. 83 – 19TG00886 Edstaston Ultravox ARR/ARR who sold for 4000 gns. to Norman McMordie in Northern Ireland for his Riverdale flock.

This son of Shockin is out of Edstaston Madison who was a prolific show winner. He is in the top 10% for the breed on terminal sire index.
Making 2600 gns. was Lot No. 244 – 19TG00869 Edstaston Urban Warrior ARR/ARR who sold to the Sloan family for their Rigghead flock in Scotland. This Shockin son was also out of Edstaston Madison.
At 1700 gns. was Lot No. 243 – 19TG00863 Edstaston Up and At Em ARR/ARR. This ram lamb sold to Simon Evans for his Gwilli flock in Wales. This top 5% lamb with a terminal sire index of 299 is a Shockin son out of an Alazabal cross Madison daughter.
New Purchases
Edstaston Charollais are pleased to announce the purchase of Rockdale U2 H2819035 ARR/ARR. Purchased for 1300 Euros at the Southern Ireland Premier Sale 2019 at Tullamore. Bred by David Argue this very smart tight skinned lamb was third highest ranked lamb on sheep Ireland during July 2019 evaluations.

Edstaston Charollais sold 3 ewe lambs at the Saucy Sale to average 880 gns.
Leading the bids was Lot No. 86 – 19TG00878 ARR/ARR who sold for 1250 gns. to Declan Miley for his Knockcroghery flock in Southern Ireland. This Shockin daughter was out of the great breeding ewe Edstaston Nelly G – 13TG00240 who has bred numerous four figure progeny to a top of 5800 gns. for Edstaston Tempranillo who also went to Southern Ireland jointly to the flocks of Edward Buckley (Kilbarry) and Jim and Frampton Jeffrey (Bawnard).

Edstaston Charollais are delighted to say they have successfully exported both semen and embryos to Mexico. The consignment consisted of embryos sired by Knockin Shockin and Edstaston Turnberry and semen from Edstaston Turnberry, Edstaston Shropshire Lad, Rainbow Santana and Hillside Tennyson.
